Shay Palmer is an E-RYT 500 and the founder/owner of Mission Yoga. Her strength lies in her ability to teach the language of the body in a comprehensive way. She has taught yoga since 2010 and began assisting 200hr teacher trainings in 2015. What began as a “passing of the torch” from her mentor turned into a career of teaching others how to teach. She wrote her own 200hr teacher training manual in 2018 from start to finish and has lead Yoga Alliance approved 200-hour teacher trainings ever since. As a YACEP provider, she offers CEU courses which include a 20hr Anatomy Intensives for registered yoga teachers and Mission Mobility, which promotes a healthy range of motion at the joint space for all athletes and movement educators.
As a former collegiate athlete, her teaching methodology combines the science of movement (anatomy, kinesiology and physiology) with the philosophical traditions of yoga. Today she is a multi-disciplinary athlete; this influences her own practice and the classes she teaches. She loves that yoga is highly adaptable believes that moving with intention is the recipe for a healthy and happy life.
